The design team incorporated numerous lessons learned into their design. They also recognized the customer's desire to have an open, column-free dining area and complied even though it wasn't required by the contract. This design/build team brought experience and professionalism to the table to generate a complete and functional dining facility. The quality control program was effective in monitoring each work activity on the construction site. Through the submittal, preparatory, initial and follow-up inspections, the QC staff was knowledgeable about the work being performed and the safety requirements associated with them. In addition to the teamwork environment, safety was the number one priority on the project site. The entire team's focus on safety resulted in the successful completion without any lost time accidents.

Project completed under very compressed original schedule to support contingency operations in Afghanistan. Design and contract document preparation had to conform to changing requirements of the Afghan theater. EDT responded in excellent fashion to reviewer comments to coordinate the design/specifications and in a similar excellent fasion to make changes related to coordination of requirements in that fast moving theater. EDT's Project Manager and engineering team were extremely responsive to the Mobile District and the Middle East District for whom the work was performed.

EDT did an excellent job on the Design-Build Ocee Library project, now know as Dr. Robert E. Fulton Regional Library. EDT provided high performance, energy efficient and environmentally friendly upgrades to make this project a “Green” building that now qualifies for LEED EB by the US Green Building Council. This project received a high grade for superior indoor air quality by Air Quality Science, an ISO 140001 accredited firm. This project was featured in the Environmental Design and Construction Magazine on January 10, 2005.
