Geo-Environmental Engineering

EDT’s Geo-Environmental team has experience performing geo-environmental services for California, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Pennsylvania in the private and public sectors on pipelines, gas stations, oil rig sites, refineries, terminal sites, military bases, waste sites, dry cleaners, factories, emergency response sites and other properties.

EDT employs the services of project managers, professional geologists/geoscientists, licensed profession engineers, environmental scientists, FAA licensed drone pilots, GIS/CADD technicians and field technicians to provide services to the oil field and other environmental markets. Following the newest technologies, regulator requests and industry standards, EDT paves the way for best Geo-environmental practices.

EDT performs project planning/tracking and economic analyses where we recommend and design geo-environmental plans that enable our clients to achieve their goals within their economic constraints. By conducting environmental and geoscientific studies, EDT recommends, designs and performs various project objectives.

Geo-Environmental Services include:

  • Geological, geophysical, hydrogeological, geochemical, soil analysis, hazard analysis and environmental risk analysis services
  • Environmental regulatory permitting and compliance
  • Phase I, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation
  • Leak detection
  • Drilling oversight and mudlogging (following oil field practices)
  • Drone project planning and tracking – infrared and visual light spectra
  • Report writing
  • Geo-data mapping & management (GIS, CADD and Surfer)
  • Air monitoring/sampling, water monitoring/sampling of groundwater, surface water and storm water
  • Soil sampling with UV fluoroscope in place of (LIF) and Frog chromatograph in place of (MIP)
  • Environmental geophysics – boundary location, utility location, voids/cave detection –  GPR, electrical and thermal methods acquisition and interpretation and seismic, gravity and magnetic data interpretation
  • Environmental engineering – design, Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) and vapor sparge systems, pump treat systems and radon mitigation (multi-gas) systems
  • Acoustic monitoring and compliance
  • Tank removal
