Summary
Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate proprietary pipeline condition assessment tools. In this role you will learn advanced techniques for inspecting and maintaining critical pipeline infrastructure. These tools are used to detect leaks, assess pipe geometry and evaluate overall pipeline health—essential for preserving our nation’s infrastructure and understanding the impact of corrosion.
As a Field Technician Assistant you will work directly with EDT’s clients supporting field operations and ensuring the success of inspection projects. If you are eager to learn, thrive in hands-on environments, and want to make a meaningful impact in a growing company we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
- Assist Field Technicians with setting up and dismantling pipeline inspection equipment.
- Support tool and equipment assembly, disassembly and cleaning under supervision.
- Actively participate in onsite safety and planning meetings identifying potential risks and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite ensuring it is free from hazards.
- Conduct basic data collection and reporting as needed.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the team and leadership.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes, quality and safety.
- Complete daily timesheets and expense reports accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in confined spaces (confined space certification is a plus)
- Safety and CPR certification are an asset.

Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to bend, lift, carry and stretch as needed.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for tool operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in various weather, traffic and environmental conditions.
- Travel required up to 25%.
